Frequently asked
questions

All of our mattresses are made with planet-friendly materials, and without harmful, and ozone-depleting chemicals. Our covers are made of recycled polyester, upcycled cotton, rayon, and lycra.

The Nova Hybrid Mattress combines premium, breathable (Polyurethane) foams that are CertiPUR® certified with added springs for lift and airflow. It has our advanced ergonomic support system, Zoned SupportTM Pro and a temperature regulation system, AirScapeTM 2.

Whether you're a side, back, or stomach sleeper, the Nova Hybrid Mattress adjusts to your unique needs. Its innovative design offers a soft mattress experience that cradles your body, while still providing the firm mattress support necessary for proper spinal alignment. This mattress type is a hybrid, combining the best of both worlds: the softness of foam mattress layers with the firmness of resilient springs.

Our mattresses are specifically designed to sleep cool. We run thermal imaging tests and sweat tests to make sure our mattresses feel nice and breezy throughout the night to keep you comfortable.

All of our mattresses have AirScapeTM, our innovative cooling system that uses perforated breathable foam to help reduce heat and tiny holes to move hot air and body heat away.

If you get hot at night, the Wave Hybrid Snow mattress might be your best bet. It has a cool-to-the-touch feeling thanks to a QuickCool Cover™ (PCM-infused cover), plus HeatDelete Bands™ (graphite cooling bands) that constantly pull heat away from underneath the body for sustained temperature regulation. Combined with our breathable AirScapeTM, foam layers, you’ll stay cool and comfortable from the moment you lay down until the moment you wake up.

A foundation ensures that mattresses sleep like they should. Some older box springs or foundations don’t provide a solid surface, causing mattresses to be affected from the breaks in support. A strong and level foundation helps mattresses to perform at their peak for a decade or more, no matter what kind of bed frame they sit on.

Casper foundations and mattresses are the perfect pair. We spent over a year developing the Casper foundation, so its design has the same considerations as our mattresses and is designed to have the right support for all of our mattresses.

All the foams in our mattresses are CertiPUR-US® certified, and our mattress covers are OEKO-TEX® certified

CertiPUR-US® approved foams are made without ozone depleters, PBDE flame retardants, mercury, lead, and other heavy metals, formaldehyde, and phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. They are Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million).

OEKO-TEX® means you can be certain that every component of this article, i.e., every thread, button, and other accessories, has been tested for harmful substances and that the article, therefore, is harmless for human health.

The protection plan covers stains, rips, and tears from any single incident. This includes spilling coffee in bed, ink stains, and common accidents from children and pets. There’s no deductible and no limit on the number of claims you can make. That means that no matter how many times you move, or how many times you have breakfast in bed, you’ll be covered.

If your old mattress is on the way out but you're not sure what to do with it, we've got some ideas! Did you know that your old mattress can be recycled? Before disposing of your mattress, look into your state's policies for mattress removal, as that will be the most environmentally friendly option. If you are not able to recycle it, consider donating it to a local charitable organization so that your mattress can go to someone in need. Other options include reselling it, repurposing it, or throwing it away responsibly.

Mattress removal is also available as part of our In-Home Delivery and Setup service.

For more information, read our guide on how to dispose of a mattress.

After you place your order, our partner RXO Logistics will send you an order confirmation (separate from your Casper order confirmation) with a scheduling link. Once your product(s) arrive at RXO's location, the scheduling link will update and RXO's automated phone system will call and provide you with the next available date for delivery. You’ll also be able to talk to an RXO Scheduling agent!

The day before your delivery date, you'll receive a call that confirms a four-hour delivery window in which your delivery team will arrive. During that four-hour window, they will call again within 30 minutes of their arrival.

The delivery team will bring your In-Home Delivery eligible Casper products to the appropriate room, set them up, and remove any packaging materials.

You can also add on a removal service to remove and recycle your previously owned mattress and foundation/box spring. To be eligible for removal of a mattress and box spring, those same items must be purchased through Casper. An order with one mattress will be eligible for the removal of one used mattress. An order with one foundation will be eligible for the removal of one used box spring/foundation.

All mattresses removed using Casper’s In-Home Delivery and Setup service must be in sanitary condition, to be determined by the on site delivery team, and all box springs must be able to be removed without being broken down.

Please note that our delivery partner does not remove bed frames. In addition, our partners are limited to arranging and setting up Casper products only.

When it comes to finding the softest mattresses, many people turn to those that offer a plush, cloud-like comfort. Plush mattresses are known for their luxurious softness and are often made with layers of memory foam or other cushioning materials. These mattresses can provide a soothing sleeping experience, especially for those who prefer a more enveloping feel. However, it’s essential to balance softness with support to ensure proper spinal alignment and avoid any potential discomfort.

The choice between hard and soft mattresses largely depends on individual preference and sleeping position. Soft mattresses can be great for side sleepers and those seeking pressure relief, as they conform to the body’s curves and alleviate pressure points. On the other hand, firm mattresses can offer better support for back and stomach sleepers, helping to maintain proper spinal alignment. Ultimately, the best mattress is one that provides both comfort and support tailored to your specific needs and preferences.

As we age, our bodies may require different levels of support and comfort during sleep. Some people might find that soft mattresses provide relief for joint pain and pressure points, offering a more comfortable night’s sleep. Others might need the support of firm mattresses to alleviate back pain and maintain proper posture. It’s also worth considering hybrid mattresses, which combine the benefits of memory foam and innerspring mattresses, offering a balance of comfort and support. Ultimately, the best mattress for you will depend on your individual needs, health considerations, and sleeping position.
