Do I need a foundation or box spring under the Repose?

The Casper Repose is a type of wooden platform bed designed to support your mattress without a foundation or box spring. Its slatted base is designed to provide a firm, flat and even surface for your mattress.

How do I know which bed setup is best for me?

It all comes down to personal preference! If you prefer a more modern look, we have bed frame options that do not require a foundation or box spring. These modern upholstered beds can dramatically enhance your wall decor and overall room aesthetic.

For a more traditional bed setup, the Casper foundation pairs with our metal bed frame for extra height and seamless support. Our foundation can also be used with any standard-size bed frame that requires a box spring to support the mattress.

Casper bed frames are made from high quality materials like our solid wood beds or metal frames and can complement any bedroom furniture setup.

Is the Casper Repose compatible with the Adjustable base?

The Casper Repose is compatible with the adjustable base. For more information on what’s compatible with our Rise Adjustable Bases, see our bed frames FAQs.

Can I attach any headboard to the Casper Repose?

The Casper Repose does not accommodate headboards other than the Wood or Pillow headboards from this collection.

How do I care for wood surfaces on my bed frame and/or headboard?

Clean with a damp, non-abrasive cotton cloth. Mild liquid detergent or household cleaner may be used on all colors except natural wood. Do not use ammonia based cleaners.

What materials are used in the construction of your bed frames?

Our wooden beds and platform bed frames are made from high quality materials, namely solid hardwood. This ensures that they are not only beautiful, but also durable and sturdy. These solid wood bed frames are designed to compliment your mattress purchase and complete your bedroom furniture and wall decor.
