Engineered for everything you might do in bed, the Casper’s award-winning sleep surface combines supportive memory foam and a springy comfort layer. It offers just the right amount of sink and bounce for deep sleep and indoor sports.
Our top comfort layer features a breathable, open-cell design to increase circulation and keep you cool. Air can pass freely beneath your body, even when the material contours to your curves.
We recommend the Casper Foundation for optimal support. You can also use a box spring with solid wood slats that are no more than 4” apart.
A flat platform will offer direct support under your Casper.
A slatted base works just fine. The slats should be unyielding, wooden, secured into the base, and spaced less than 4" apart.
I originally purchased this Casper twin for my daughter. Moved her up to a double and I snagged the Casper. I can honestly say after 15 expensive types of mattresses... 2 marriages... etc, this twin Casper I have on top of an old twin mattress on the floor is the most comfortable bed I have ever had!!! My 2 beagles, and 2 cats all fit with myself... and all sleep ALL NIGHT LONG!!! Thank you Casper! You're amazing and I will never purchase another brand.. EVER!
I purchased a twin mattress to go on a daybed in my family room. I love it! It's so comfy and I now have room to sit with three dogs and not be squished. Everyone (cats, dogs, people) loves it. My daughter came home for a visit over the holidays right after I got the mattress and slept on it every night rather than her bed. Although it's only been 3 weeks so far it's a hit.
I love my Casper mattress. Previously, I was using a hand-me-down twin bed that was at least fifteen years old. I suffer from occasional lower back muscle spams and that was the reason I started looking for a new bed. This is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. I am mostly a back sleeper so my bottom sinks into the foam and it feels like I'm floating. I never experienced a memory foam bed before so the first few nights took some getting used to, as I was used to the bounce of a normal bed. I purchased the queen bed and the frame installation was so simple! Took less than an hour to get everything all set up. The only reason I did not give this five stars is the temperature. Considering I never knew anything about memory foam before, I had no idea what 'sleeping hot' was. I HAVE to use 100% cotton sheets and a cotton mattress protector and I still wake up hot. Even in winter. That is the only downside to this mattress. Overall, I am happy with the bed and my sleep for the price. I would recommend this product.
The unboxing was easy and need two people to undo even with a twin mattress. I would like to try your pillow but not unless I could have a return policy on it. Maybe that would help my tingling sensation in my upper torso. Thanks
Unboxing was great. In-fact I took a video of unwrapping and the mattress expanding and shared it with my family and friends. They all liked it. I bought a Queen for us and a twin XL for our kid. Pros: 1) Mattress is on the firmer side which is good. Firmness provides great support to the entire stretch of the body. Very effective when compared to spring mattresses or soft mattresses 2) Packing was cool. UPS team left it on the bedroom floor and opening and placing the mattress on frame was easy. I used a ZINUS metal frame (Elite) 3) I left the carton part of the metal frame as Casper has suggested to have wooden slats. The Carton part is protecting the mattress from getting hard pressed against the metal part 4) It is more than a month and we have had very comfortable sleep - no over heating, no smells, no ups and downs, very evenly surfaced 5) Feel and good is also great 6) Firmness is the same through out, even in the corners Cons: 1) Sheets, pillow cases and pillows reached one week after mattresses arrived. They are of very good quality too. However I have to quickly buy an additional set while waiting for these to arrive Will update both the above sections after a month.
Unboxing was incredibly easy, I unboxed it with my 8 year old and 11 year old daughters. We also build everything together it was super easy I bought the king size rails, foundation and mattress. By the way it's lovely. My girls sleep with me all the time so I definitely needed a bigger and better bed because my old bed was extremely horrible to sleep on and my back was aching all the time it was horrific. So my first night in the Casper bed was extremely excellent I definitely don't regret it! I was a bit skeptical about purchasing the Casper bed, but my gut feeling was 100% positive that I would love it! So I went with my feeling. I was not wrong, and I definitely do not regret it one bit. I'm definitely going to recommend the whole set to all my friends and family's. It's worth every penny and pretty affordable price. The other beds I was looking into were to pricy and didn't met my expectations. This bed really does!! I'm sleeping in cloud nine for now on. By the way I give it a 10 star a five star is way to low in my book. Great job to the team of Casper you have really outdone yourselves with your whole product. I will be buying the twin mattress for my girls bed later on hopefully in 2017.
Bought the twin mattress for my toddler's first bed. Totally impractical for this, as the lack of edge support easily permits toddler or their co-sleeper to fall off. Otherwise, quiet and comfy, if a bit too soft. Twin is not recommended.
My XL twin Caper box showed up and boy, was I excited and let's be real, a bit skeptical- I only knew of one way to buy a new bed, springs and all... Not at all with Caper! Bed glides out of its wrapper eager to have you lie on it. I even enjoyed purchasing some Egyptian cotton sheets for my nest. I love paying my bed off $100 bucks a month! No interest! Free shipping! I don't have the lower back pain I experienced sleeping on springs. My Caspers home is on my wooden bedroom floor- I sleep so sound and comfortable these days, a well worth investment for yourself. Ps. My dog Tessa prefers to cuddle up with me on my Casper!
I would return this mattress for a slightly longer one if I could. I am 5'3" tall & sleep on a standard size twin bed; however the mattress is too short and my feet hang over the mattress. Can anything be done to help?
Love the mattress and love the company. Costumer service is simply the best. I ordered a twin XL. After I opened it, I realized it was a short twin. Customer service said "no problem", we will donate it and get you a new one. They are even allowing me to donate it to my church.
Ok, so this is a cheating review, as I don't sleep on a Casper. I sleep on an overpriced king sized Sealy that is good, but for almost 5 years I've been sharing a bed with my wife AND my daughter, whose bed was not all that comfortable, so she'd sneak in our bed every single night. Then there's the constant moving and things that little kids do --- and now it's been a little over a month that our Casper twin arrived. Unboxing the mattress was fun, exciting, and soo comfy. I laid on it for a few minutes, which turned into an hour before it was time to put it in her room. She had slept soundly every night since getting the new bed and mattress , Not once has she come back in our bed. So even though the Casper is not technically my bed, my wife and I have been sleeping incredibly since purchasing this Casper for our 5 year old daughter.
I sleep solo on a twin in the guest room 5 nights a week due to very early shifts waking the rest of the house. I'm not a huge guy, about 185ish, but every twin I've had up to now has turned into a hammock within 2-3 weeks. I've gone real expensive (1900 on a twin), real cheap, firm, soft, spring, memory foam, tempupedic, you name it over the years. My Casper is literally miles better than every single one bar none. From the unboxing experience (which was just a fun and a nice personal touch) to every night I finally get uninterrupted sleep. I'm a side sleeper, and never realized one of the main reasons for the tossing and turning I thought was normal was simply inadequate support. Even on a firm memory foam matress if I tried to roll over there was always that depression I was just lying in pulling me back. Not on Casper. As a matter of fact the latex matress springs back to almost help you reposition and then instantly conform to your new position for optimum support. It's rated medium firm which made me hesitate for a bit, but so very glad I gave it a try. Climbing into bed feels slightly more like climbing ONTO the bed, but once you lay back into the pillow it is almost like floating there. I actually wake up in the same position I fell asleep in half the time now. I don't remember how long it's been since that happened. Love, love, love it. Strongly recommend it!
Alright, let's get this started. Rewind a bit to 2009. I was in college, my father helped me buy a Queen semi-firm mattress from Sam's and box spring. That's what I'd been using for 7+ years until about 2 weeks ago. My partner and I had been sleepin on it as well for about 3 years, so it began to sink in the middle, very common in spring mattresses that have seen a lot of use. The earlier part of this year I began sleepwalking and talking. Weird, I know. I wasn't getting a full night's sleep. MAYBE 4-5 hours a night. I was exhausted, tired, a zombie during the day. I could never get comfortable at night and was tossing and turning. He was too, so we'd keep waking each other up and it was just a cyclical seventh circle of hell every night for a few months. He suffers from some back and shoulder pain so needless to say, we were pretty desperate for awhile. One day I was online and saw an ad for the Casper mattress. The ad was minimal, fresh, and trendy. Of course a sleep deprived Millennial like myself clicked on it. My partner had hinted awhile back that maybe we should get a new mattress, so I sent it to him. We'd been wanting to upgrade to a King sized mattress, but honestly the price range for a lot of the brick-and-mortar stores was out of our range. The price of a Casper king is and was attractive. We had a referral code as well. Free shipping, too? What was the catch? Was this thing made of marshmallows? We soon found out there wasn't a catch. This product is genuine. We ordered and 3, maybe 4, days later it was on our doorstep. The box is about 80-90lbs for a king, so we teamed up and carried it upstairs. I had an adjustable bed frame, and we used wooden planks for our support since we didn't want to spend money on 2 twin XL box springs. We've been sleeping on it about a week so far and I've slept a full 8 hours every night. In fact, the sleep I've gotten has been SO good, that I was late to work 4-5 days last week. But it's not Casper's problem that I don't want to leave their bed now. Also, it's cute looking.
We slept on a queen size Casper at an AirB'n'B and we loved it! The owner of the house said that it was new and we were the first ones to sleep on it. It was unbelievably comfortable. I ordered a twin for my daughter when we got home and it smelled horrible for over a month! It was as if this was a different mattress...and it off gassed for much too long considering that this was supposedly a healthy mattress. I was in shock at the odor and didn't think it slept the same as the other one. It smelled so strong that her stuffed animals, pillows, sheets, and blankets soaked up the smell too. It was really awful. We were planning to get a queen for our house, but I'd like to do more research before ordering due to the off gassing.
So I've had my casper twin sized mattress for a number of months now so this is basically an update review. I was curious as to how long it takes for me to fall asleep as my old beds sometimes kept me awake for as long as 2 hours before I finally fell asleep. To do this test I repeated it several times over the past several weeks. Went to bed at my normal time and turned my smartphone to my favorite local night talk show. I set the sleep timer to one hour, then 30 minutes and finally 15 minutes to automatically turn the radio off. last night I had confirmed that it takes less than 15 minutes for me to fall asleep on my Casper.Last thing I remember last night was the radio show host talking about space .Checking my audio recorder which is set to automatically stop after 30 minutes it was confirmed that after 15 minutes my smart phone shut down and for the next 15 minutes I could hear myself breathing slowly as I drifted off into REM sleep. So to sum it up, I'm now falling asleep in under 15 under normal non-stress conditions. Never had that luxury before with other mattress manufacturers. What ever you're doing Casper, keep it up. Thanks again for the great sleep and feeling fully rested in the morning!
I bought it based on Consumer Reports ratings and seeing in person in the Napmobile in Houston. It is barely too soft for me, personally - lower back discomfort. (I use a competitor's product with 'numbers', but it is extremely expensive.) The Casper is in my guest room, and every guest so far has high praise for it. Doubly surprised when I tell them I bought online and for how much. I plan to replace the twin beds in the other guest room eventually and will replace them with the Casper product.
After sleeping on a twin mattress for most of my life, I declared an upgrade was in order and this mattress was a hell of an upgrade. No complaints whatsoever. I burned my old mattress (cool guys never look at explosions) and I'm never looking back either.
Overall, this is a great mattress and great company. Their customer service is prompt to talk and fix any problems. I had a little problem with the 50 dollar discount and they resolved it within 5 minutes. The mattress itself is wonderful, it's very quiet and doesn't transfer movement (although if you enjoy jumping on your bed, it might not be as good as a traditional spring mattress). The firmness is a little too much for me personally, A pillow-top cover should fix that. The unboxing was kind of cool although not too important, what is important though is how portable and compact this mattress can be. Anyone whose job takes them around the globe can now take their bed with them quite easily. My previous bed was a twin sized Sleep Number and is still a great bed, went with the Casper over another Sleep Number when upgrading to the Queen size because I didn't like the divider down the middle of the Sleep Number.
It was relatively easy to unbox. I used my old bed frame and purchased a Queen size Bunky Board to put the Casper queen size mattress on. It sits a little low so maybe I really need a better bed frame that sits a little higher. I really wish that some of the sheets and pillows you sold could be sold for a lower price or maybe together in a gift set. I liked this mattress so I purchased a twin size mattress from my son who moved in with us.
My husband purchased a king size August 2015 when I was 5 months pregnant because our current mattress was a good one but my back was killing. After the 1st night sleeping on our Casper, I finally felt relief! We purchased two twin size Coaster Bunkie Boards from Nebraska Furniture to use as our base on top of our box springs from other bed. This worked best with our bed frame and I needed to height to get in and out of the bed. Ten months later I can attest that this is still the best mattress I've ever slept on!!! Our 5 1/2 month old will nap with us along with our 7 lb shorkipoo and our cat!!! Let me tell you, weekends are spent a little longer in bed for cuddles with our lil family! #squadgoals
