Engineered for everything you might do in bed, the Casper’s award-winning sleep surface combines supportive memory foam and a springy comfort layer. It offers just the right amount of sink and bounce for deep sleep and indoor sports.
Our top comfort layer features a breathable, open-cell design to increase circulation and keep you cool. Air can pass freely beneath your body, even when the material contours to your curves.
We recommend the Casper Foundation for optimal support. You can also use a box spring with solid wood slats that are no more than 4” apart.
A flat platform will offer direct support under your Casper.
A slatted base works just fine. The slats should be unyielding, wooden, secured into the base, and spaced less than 4" apart.
I'm a disabled person and this is the best money I have spent on self care. I'm very happy I listened to my doctors in regards to proper neck and back support and comfort during sleep. 1-Unboxing, assembly, and making up linens was SUPER easy and took about 45 minutes. I purchased the XL Twin complete Casper Sleep System. Mattress, Casper Platform with included slats and flat support rollout support, metal bed stand, sheets, double pillow, and duvet. 2-Mattress support is AMAZING. I've never slept so sound or comfortably in my life. I used to have to prop my arm up with a pillow when I slept on my side, and due to the support of the mattress I no longer need to. I've had lower back surgery and my prior mattress never provided the right support and the springs began to creak loudly into year 6. The Casper is completely silent and does not move when you have to roll over in bed. It is tremendously comfortable and does not trap body heat. I've had problems with gross night sweats since I was a child, this mattress has stopped all of the overheating problems. 3-I highly recommend buying the linens, water proof bed cover (which will stop a spilled bottle of water from hitting the mattress) and pillow to complete the full experience. I have tried a side by side night's sleep between a high end store bought set and the Casper set, and the difference is highly obvious. You will sleep better on the Casper set, and will not want to go back to store bought. The pillow does not go flat, and gives perfect support for side or back sleeping. 4-My two old cats steal the bed every day to sleep in the sun and are also quite happy with it. They used to sleep on the floor rather than my old mattress.
I slept with my partner in it for 2 days and even him by himself as I bought it for our anniversary but we still live in separate houses. Love it, we have full nights of sleep all day.
Unboxing was easy, although the mattress was heavier than I thought it would be, I was able to get it onto the foundation by myself. It's been kind of hard getting used to this mattress as I had a floatation system (waterbed) before. My grandson has a Casper single size and his seems softer and you kind of sink into his, but my full size seems harder and no "give" to it. I certainly don't sink into mine. First few nights were kind of rough, hard to get use to, but each night is getting better. I do like it, but hoping it softens up after awhile. Yes, I would and have recommended this mattress to others.
I had extremely high expectations for this mattress. After scouring the reviews for weeks and pondering about my decision to purchase, I went for it. I'm so happy I did. The full experience was incredible. The mattress...oh, the mattress! I slept infinitely better from Night #1 onward. I've fallen more in love with my bed with each passing night. I used to toss and turn for hours on end. Now, I barely move. I used to have aches and pains, especially in my shoulders (side sleeper problems...) every morning. Now, no pain. Buy this mattress. It's the mattress of the future and couldn't have been an easier process.
It was quite an experience to have a whole bed set come in a series of boxes. It was really quick and easy to put up the foundation. Maybe 3-4 actual directions. Very easy. Caution when opening the mattress, you could cut the mattress and once air gets inside, it inflates quickly. I came down with a sinus infection the same day I received my Casper. It took a few days before I could get a real feel for the bed. Once I was well enough to breathe through the night, I found the bed quite comfortable. I have slept through the night with no waking up for the past few weeks now. Even my parents that come over to stay the night, used it, and had a good night. Ultimately...this was a good purchase and glad I went through with it, thus far. The only critique I have is to somehow keep the latex off gass smell to a minimum. The smell lasted 4 days to a full week. Once you get past that, all is peachy. Thanks
The unboxing was a hoot. Our daughter and 2 of her sons were here to help ( mainly to carry out the old box spring & mattress). Assembly of foundation was pretty easy as was the mattress. After only 2-3 nights I was totally acclimated to the totally different feel of my new memory-foam Casper. I'm 73 and have had 2 back operations 10 yrs ago and a new knee replacement 1 yr ago ,& I use a C-Pap machine every night. For the 1st time in a long time I am getting a full night's sleep. No flipping around, turning side to side. I don't have my arms, hands, or shoulders falling asleep from laying on them during the night. I'm sold on CASPER. Thank you for giving my nights back to me. I tell everyone that I bought one of those mattresses in a box that are on TV and I love it.
Unboxing and setting up fairly straight forward. Realize we are individually testing a full size, which was purchased for a guest room, testing for considering a king for our bedroom. I have slept in it for about two weeks and like it. I sleep on my side and feel supported along the spine and hips. In addition, it sleeps cool. However, my wife is still unsure. She is currently sleeping on it for several weeks and does not like what she calls the wrap around effect. In addition, she always ends up sleeping on the edge and does feels the support declines. Currently, we're inclined to return it under the 100 day trial period.
It was cool opening the mattress and watching it expand to full size
My previous bed set provided rest full healthy sleep. I thought the Casper system would be the ultimate. I was wrong. Sleeping on the mattress initiated lower back aches, inability to sleep more then 3 hours and in general after a nights sleep on the mattress I was ready to go to sleep. Woke up more tired then when I went to sleep. The mattress just doesn't properly support various parts of the body and seems to mess with overall alignment. I ended up sleeping in my recliner chair until I removed the Casper mattress and put my prior mattress back. This mattress might work for some but it ruined sleeping for me. I consider it a junk product and poorly designed. I think the advertisement is misleading. I was annoyed enough with the lack of quality I didn't request a refund. A product best forgotten.
So far we like the mattress. We used to have a firm Temperpedic and enjoyed that mattress for 10 years. The only drawback to the Casper is that when you sit on the side of the mattress it doesn't seem to have much support. Once you lay down, it's fine. If you could make the sides firmer, I think it would help the overall mattress experience. It also seems that you sink down when you are sitting up in bed reading a book. When you have your full weight in one spot. We are not heavy people. 190 lbs and 115 lbs. As I said, once you lay down we sleep very well. Outside of that, we have been very satisfied. We may buy another one for our guest room.
I liked everything about it, the ease of ordering and set up. I slept full night, back pain was minimal. I highly recommend this mattress!!
My Casper mattress arrived about 2.5 weeks ago, and I actually opened and set it up about 2 weeks ago. I noticed a very pungent chemical smell when I first opened it, but read that this was common for non-boxspring mattresses. After sleeping on it for a night, I decided to let it officially "gas off", even though Casper claims this is not necessary. I have kept my windows open 24/7 and removed the bedding during the day to let the smell dissipate. Even though it has gotten somewhat less strong, the chemical smell lingers and I am still greeted by this odor whenever I return home. As someone who has heightened allergies, I'd appreciate not having one more thing to irritate my senses. However, I did reach out to Casper and the customer service was great - they offered an exchange if the issue persisted. I have yet to decide if exchanging the mattress will solve the issue or simply reset the smell to its original strength. Other than that, the mattress is fantastic and I sleep soundly at night, waking up with no back issues or pain. I would love to give it a full 5 stars, but the odor is just off-putting.
the unboxing experience was kinda cool… it just self-inflates! the mattress is comfy at first. But I do wake up with low back pain… waiting to see if I get used to the bed to the point where I don’t wake up in pain. Otherwise it is comfy. FYI — full mattress is 1.5” smaller than the average full. It will look and feel smaller. …another disappointment.
I have owned the Queen sized for 11 months, the mattress is excellent, I have been able to obtain a full night's sleep most days except when life has demands that are unpredictable. I found the entire process user friendly i.e. payment, shipping, unpacking, and set-up. I am looking forward to many more years of happy and comfortable sleep, THANK YOU!
Phenomenal mattress! I was skeptical to buy a mattress online without being able to try it first, but the Casper mattress is absolutely superb. My fiance and I have had the mattress for almost a full year now, and I can say, with confidence, that we sleep better than we have on any other bed. I'm a side sleeper, while he is a back/side/all-over sleeper. Both of us rarely ever have any back pain anymore and we sleep much more comfortably and soundly. I would definitely recommend this mattress to anyone considering buying it; I would give it 6 stars if I could!
I decided to give Casper a try after moving and needing a new mattress. The ordering was easy and was delivered in an air sealed packaging. Once it was opened the mattress quickly expanded to its full size. It was a bit soft during the first use, soft enough that I woke up with an aching back the first few nights if you're not accustom to a soft mattress, but firms up in time. After a few month of use, I wouldn't describe the comfort as being outrageous or exceptional compared to other mattress. For the price, it's a good mattress. If you're sharing this, you definitely want to get the king size as the side of the mattress is a bit too soft. You pretty much just sink in along the side especially if you sit on it. It's not a mattress that I would go raving about but I would offer it as an option.
We bought a full mattress and foundation. The boxes were manageable by one person though not by the 105 pound one of us. Easily set up. The rest of the story gets even better. We knew it was perfect for us within the first few minutes of checking out our usual sleeping positions. I'm writing this after 3 nights. I had a Tempurpedic for years. It was a great bed too but pricey and held heat. You won't be getting this one back in 100 days. Thank you for delivering a product that is exactly what you say it is...a necessity for our great night's sleep.
Replaced a ~10 year old pillow-top queen mattress with a king sized Casper and haven't looked back. Shipping was extremely quick and and the live chat was very helpful. The unboxing was fun, we enjoyed watching the mattress come to life and "expand" to its full size. Some similar style mattresses suggest a waiting period of 24-48 hours before you can sleep on them, but not with Casper, we went from unboxed to sleeping in 10 minutes. The mattress is extremely comfortable and sleeps myself, my wife, our English bulldog Leeroy, and a cat and it still doesn't feel crowded. I was worried that the mattress would sleep "hot" but it felt cooler then our previous mattress. Very pleased with the purchase and we will purchase another when it is time for our toddler to get a larger bed.
I am so impressed with my Casper mattress that I plan to purchase a king when I have the space. I share the bed with 7 small dogs and 2 cats, so it is a little crowded! The bed is so comfortable that my house sitter's wife ( a massage therapist) trades sitting assignments if she needs to get a really good night's sleep and rest her body after a full day of treatments. I really wish that Casper would make a mattress that would fit RV queen and king beds. The mattresses would certainly help with over tired bodies after driving for 8 to 12 hours. Perhaps the design team could look into that possibility for the future. Thank you Casper!
